RCL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Tuesday, August 1st, 2028 Francisco Valdéz's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Seattle shortstop has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In July he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .405 with 5 doubles, 2 triples and 3 home runs. Valdéz also scored 11 times and drove in 10 runs. So far this season Valdéz is batting .311 with 10 home runs, 40 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 103 hits in 331 at-bats, 18 walks and a .347 OBP. Valdéz has played in 88 games. |
