Minnesota First Baseman Out
Saturday, July 22nd, 2028
André Georges at first refused to leave today's San Diego-Minnesota game after he suffered an oblique strain while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Minnesota first baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Georges out of action for 5 weeks.

So far this season Georges is batting .337 with 28 home runs, 69 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has 117 hits in 347 at-bats, 21 walks and a .384 OBP. Georges has played in 88 games.
