Hornets Martin Whitney Wins TML Award Monday, July 3rd, 2028 At the age of 26, Martin Whitney might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Eureka right fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .429 batting average. For his efforts Whitney collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 28 at-bats, 4 home runs and 11 RBIs last week in 7 games. Whitney is hitting .326 this year with 11 home runs and 20 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .410, 18 walks and scored 29 times. |
