3 Home Runs for Thompson Friday, June 23rd, 2028 Whatever Wilford Thompson ate for breakfast before his game against the Eureka Hornets today, it gave him some impressive power as the Bloomington left fielder smacked three balls up and out of the park at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. His power surge sparked the Blazers to take the 8-3 victory over the Hornets. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 3-for-3, scored 3 times, drove in 4 and put his name in the league record books. Wilford Thompson hit a solo-shot off Pat Sheffield in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Pat Sheffield in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Pat Sheffield in the 6th and walked in a run in the 7th. This year Thompson has hit 10 home runs and posted a .227 batting average. |
