Jacksonville's Liñares Will Miss Season
Wednesday, June 21st, 2028
When Jacksonville second baseman José Liñares was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Jacks-Gamblers game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Liñares had sustained a ruptured achilles tendon and will be out for about 8 months.

In the current season, Liñares has put up a .325 batting average with 40 hits, 4 home runs, 20 runs batted in and scored 23 runs.
