Stogies Sonnino Down with Injury Sunday, June 4th, 2028 The Havana Stogies were dealt a severe blow when Domeneco Sonnino was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Quebec Armada. After the game, the team trainer reported Sonnino might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 32-year-old closer out for the rest of the season with a torn labrum. They indicated it would take Sonnino at least 10 months to heal. To date Sonnino has no saves with a 2-0 season record and a 2.16 ERA. He also has made 24 relief appearances, thrown 25 innings and struck out 28. |
