Mafia Chill Clark's Hot Streak
Thursday, May 25th, 2028
It was the best of both worlds for the New York Mafia today at Central Park Downtown Stadium as they defeated the Columbus Codebreakers 7-2 and also ended Ray Clark's 21-game hitting streak. The 34-year-old Columbus second baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Ray, we just wanted to win the game," said the victorious Mafia skipper. "We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Clark frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game."

This season Clark is batting at a .327 clip with 3 home runs and 19 RBIs.
