5-for-5 Game for Clark
Thursday, May 18th, 2028
Columbus second baseman Ray Clark could do no wrong in today's 15-4 win over the Patriots as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Patriots skipper Randall Hardy said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Clark agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Ray Clark singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, tripled in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
For the season, Clark is hitting at a .347 clip with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and has scored 19 runs. He has 42 hits, 4 walks and a .368 on-base percentage.
