2000th Hit for Winters Tuesday, May 9th, 2028 What a day for Matt Winters. The 32-year-old Kansas City left fielder reached the 2000-hit mark today and the Tornadoes whipped the Jacksonville Jacks 5-4. Winters told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 2000, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball." He went 2 for 4 in the game to reach the milestone.
