Petit's 21-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Sunday, May 7th, 2028
Jean-Claude Petit, shortstop for the Maple Marauders, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Duke City Danger. Not only had they stopped his 21-game hitting streak, they had beaten Maple 2-1, too.

Speaking with the media after the game, Petit said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."

For the season Petit is batting .364 with 48 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 36 times and batted in 19.
