Gilberto Jiménez out 6-7 Weeks With Injury Friday, May 5th, 2028 The New York Mafia learned that Gilberto Jiménez is likely to be out for 6-7 weeks after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Eureka Hornets. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a strained groin muscle. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the New York manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Gilberto is back in action." So far this season Jiménez has put up a .317 batting average with 39 hits, 5 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
