Hoolahan Rockets 3 HR Against So Cal Sunday, April 16th, 2028 Going... Going... Gone! Damian Hoolahan did it three times in the Cabo San Lucas-So Cal game at House of the Republic. Three home runs in one game -- but his team lost -- the Republic outscored the Toreros 13-6. "Gosh, it's a shame we didn't win this game. I get my name in the record book, but we lose the game." For the day the Cabo San Lucas shortstop went 3-for-4 against So Cal with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting. "I was in a groove," he said, "and every pitch they tossed up there looked like a basketball." Commenting after the game to the press, the semi-elated Hoolahan explained, "I tell you what, I was surprised because I didn't think the last ball had enough to get out. I thought it was just going to be a long out." Damian Hoolahan hit a solo-shot off Matt Quinlan in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Matt Quinlan in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Enrique Morales in the 8th. On the season, Hoolahan is batting .196 with 3 home runs and 5 RBIs. He has played in 14 games. |
