Thompson Torches Patriots for 5 Hits
Sunday, April 9th, 2028
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Las Vegas's 15-5 win over Manhattan Beach today, second baseman Pat Thompson was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard .
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Thompson said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Pat Thompson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th.
Thus far this season Thompson is hitting .360 with no home runs, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 9 hits in 25 at-bats and has played in 6 games.
