Star Crossed: Bravo, Vemireddy Switch Teams

Everybody in So Cal and Manhattan Beach is talking about the blockbuster trade between Republic and Patriots involving top-notch players. In the deal announced today So Cal has acquired 23-year-old LHP Adhipa Vemireddy and 21-year-old minor league CF Blair Uige from the Patriots and in return will receive 29-year-old LHP Tomás Bravo, 25-year-old RHP Amirtharaj Nagaraja, 24-year-old 1B Bagaskoro Pakpahan, 35-year-old RF José Contreras and 27-year-old minor league RHP Joe Hurst.
During his career the 29-year-old Bravo has piled up 826 innings. Over that time, he has fanned 821 batters, walked 251 and put up a 3.74 ERA. His lifetime won-lost mark is 67-34 and opposing clubs have hit .250 against him.
Since joining the league, Vemireddy has compiled an ERA of 4.10 with a career record of 37-41. He has 606 strikeouts in 544.2 innings and has held opponents to a .257 batting average.
