Seattle-Duke City Deal Confirmed Saturday, January 1st, 2028 The Seattle Sasquatch and Duke City Danger have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Seattle will part with 31-year-old 3B Christian Chevalier, 25-year-old RHP Diego Peña, 23-year-old minor league RHP Eduardo Diadoni, 23-year-old minor league LHP Jim Phillips and 21-year-old minor league LHP Yo Watanabe, while the Danger have dealt 33-year-old 1B Baden Murphy, 25-year-old C Alfredo Álvarez, 24-year-old C Sergio Villalobos and 31-year-old 2B Bob Cox. "This one took a while to figure out," said the Seattle general manager. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." In 875 career games Chevalier has hit .286 with 911 hits, 159 home runs, 544 RBIs and scored 507 runs. Over his 1308-game career Murphy has compiled a .308 batting average and collected 1547 hits, 271 home runs and 933 RBIs. |
