Another Setback For Maple's Jean-Claude Petit
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2027
Marauders shortstop Jean-Claude Petit has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for a hamstring strain. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule, but now doctors will reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in Maple told BNN Jean-Claude Petit would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least 1-2 weeks.

This season Petit is batting .341 with 21 home runs. He has scored 60 runs and driven in 55.
