Hit #2500 for Armada Baba Tuesday, September 14th, 2027 What a day for Masaki Baba. The 34-year-old Quebec right fielder reached the 2500-hit mark today and the Armada whipped the Edmonton Eskimos 8-5. Baba told reporters, "It's good to finally get it. The closer you get to 2500, the harder it is to get there. Now the pressure is off and I can go back to just playing ball." He went 1 for 2 in the game to reach the milestone. For his career Baba has hit at a .328 clip. Among his lifetime numbers are 2500 hits, 407 doubles, 19 triples, 377 home runs and 1398 RBIs. |
