5-for-6 Day for Bowman Friday, September 3rd, 2027 History in the making. That's what the fans at Debris Field got to see today, when Kansas City outplayed the Beavers 17-0. George Bowman of the Tornadoes came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Portland. In the postgame press conference the Portland skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." George Bowman singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Presently Bowman is batting .315 with 8 home runs and 79 RBIs. He has played in 131 games and scored 97 times. |
