José Gallegos Hurt, Out 3 Weeks
Thursday, August 19th, 2027
The Montreal Bandits learned that José Gallegos is likely to be out for 3 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Washington Wildcats. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a bone spur in his elbow. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Montreal manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until José is back in action."

For the year Gallegos has compiled a 11-4 record with a 3.19 ERA.
