Texans Trade Murillo to Republic for Brouillette Saturday, July 31st, 2027 According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Dallas Texans and the So Cal Republic. As part of the deal, the Texans swapped 30-year-old RF Fernando Murillo to the Republic getting 36-year-old LHP Cohen Brouillette, 33-year-old minor league RF Dave Lister, 23-year-old minor league SS Dan Rollins, 23-year-old minor league 1B Carlos Rosário, 16-year-old minor league LHP Ricardo Hernández and $2,500,000 in cash in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team. So far this year Murillo is batting .293 with 17 home runs. Up to now Brouillette has compiled an ERA of 5.21 with a 5-2 mark over 13 starts. He has 58 strikeouts in 96.2 innings and has held opponents to a .297 batting average. |
