Hornets Shortstop Johnson Hurt
Thursday, July 29th, 2027
The Eureka Hornets were dealt a severe blow when Ronnie Johnson was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the Maple Marauders. After the game, the team trainer reported Johnson might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 25-year-old shortstop out for the rest of the season with a strained hamstring. They indicated it would take Johnson at least 3 months to heal.

This year Johnson has batted at a .288 pace with 102 hits, 13 home runs, 38 RBIs and scored 65 times.
