Ridin' High: Carter Hits for Cycle Friday, July 16th, 2027 In Mile High's 14-4 win today at McNichols Stadium, Walt Carter roughed up Edmonton pitching in a big way. The 32-year-old second baseman hit for the cycle, rapping out a single, double, triple and home run. "What a good day! And my parents and family were here to see it, too," a beaming Carter said after the game. "I really got some good looks today and delivered. Sometimes you're just locked in." He finished his historic day with 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Walt Carter hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Kenny Allen in the 8th. So far this season Carter is hitting .304 with 6 home runs. |
