Jersey's Verity Out 2-3 Weeks Monday, July 5th, 2027 Watching Ron Verity getting helped off the field today at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards, fans of the Jersey Jesters feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the third baseman will miss 2-3 weeks with a strained hip muscle. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Verity suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Tornadoes. Verity is hitting .326 this year with 13 home runs and 43 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .387, 21 walks and scored 32 times. |
