Wei Goes 5-for-6 Friday, June 11th, 2027 It was a sensational day at the plate for Wen Wei as he led the charge to a 11-10 win over the Stogies. The Minnesota shortstop was pure misery for the Havana pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Stogies told BNN reporters after the game, "Wei put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Wen Wei flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th, walked in the 10th and singled in the 12th. For the season Wei is batting .328 with 43 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 17 times and batted in 17. |
