It's Over: Hornets Stop Atilano Saturday, June 5th, 2027 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Lorenzo Atilano as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Hornets. It wasn't all bad for the 25-year-old center fielder and the San Francisco Earthquakes, as they defeated Eureka 3-2 at The Nest. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Atilano laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This season in 55 games Atilano is batting .308 with 7 home runs, 28 RBIs and has scored 28 times. |
