Atilano Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Thursday, June 3rd, 2027 The Earthquakes proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Tornadoes 7-4, but Lorenzo Atilano continued his god-like hitting as he collected 1 hit and ran his hitting streak to 20 games. When asked about his torrid-hitting center fielder, the San Francisco skipper said, "Atilano is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Atilano was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters." Lorenzo Atilano flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd and walked in the 6th. For the year Atilano has hit .315 with 7 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 26 runs. |
