TML Player of the Week, Holmes of Portland Monday, May 24th, 2027 A battle-tested Nick Holmes declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 33-year-old Portland left fielder collected the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .500 average, 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 6 home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored. This year Holmes is batting .406 with 69 hits and 14 home runs. He has scored 35 times and has batted in 43 runs. |
