Jersey's Bishop to Miss 9-10 Months
Wednesday, May 12th, 2027
The Jersey Jesters were dealt a severe blow when Alan Bishop was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the San Francisco Earthquakes. After the game, the team trainer reported Bishop might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 31-year-old second baseman out for the rest of the season with a torn posterior cruciate ligament. They indicated it would take Bishop at least 9-10 months to heal.
So far this season Bishop has put up a .260 batting average with 26 hits, 4 home runs and 15 RBIs.
