Morris to Donate Kidney to Ailing Cousin
Sunday, March 28th, 2027
Seattle starting pitcher Leon Morris has decided to retire from baseball in order to donate a kidney to his cousin. Doctors say Morris's cousin, who has advanced kidney disease, probably won't survive without a new organ.

"As much as I love the game of baseball, I love my cousin more," said Morris. "I'm just doing what I would hope someone would do for me if I needed it."

Olivier Martin had nothing but praise for his teammate.

"Leon is such an incredible guy. To walk away from all of this to help someone he cares about just shows how much class he has."

His manager, Steve Hansen, was equally impressed with Morris's generosity. "It takes a lot of character to make a sacrifice like that. We wish him and his cousin all the best and we'll definitely be praying for their speedy recovery."
