South Carolina got a first-rate effort from pitcher Ange Schmit, who frustrated Oklahoma City hitters en route to a 2-1 Bombers triumph at Memorial Circle Park. Schmit went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-5. Anupradana Agarkar picked up the save, his 20th.

Michael Fitzgerald had a productive at-bat for the Bombers with two out in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 3rd, the third baseman hit a run-scoring single. The at-bat was important in the South Carolina win.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Schmit.

South Carolina currently is in third place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 39-31.
