Iván Morales never let the Toreros get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Beavers to a 4-1 win. Toyotomi Nakano picked up the save, his 17th. With the win, Portland goes to 38-32, while the Toreros fall to 33-36.

Morales ran roughshod through the Cabo San Lucas lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. With the victory, he goes to 6-4 on the season.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Portland skipper Ryan Blandford. "I can't complain."
