The Gamblers had to overcome a fine effort from New York pitcher Ronald Lee to grab a narrow 5-3 win at Don Corleone Park. Lee went 9 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Pedro Medina, credited with the win, is now 3-5. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 4 innings. The second-place Gamblers have won 5 consecutive games.

Dante Deleón said the idea of hitting a home run crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the 14th. Deleón belted a 2-run home run to stake Las Vegas to a 5-3 lead. His 14th home run of the season came off New York pitcher Clemente Curry.
