Mustangs Rally For Late Win Over Grays
|
The Mile High Mustangs relied on the hitting of left fielder Jen-djieh Chen to stop the Georgia Grays, 6-3. For the game, Chen went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mile High reliever Quan Que picked up the win to move to 3-6. José Berrios suffered the loss. Emerson Webber got the save, his 6th in 7 chances.
Mile High took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, third baseman Marshall Dempsey hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Dempsey. "Just do my job."
Today's win puts Mile High at 69-92, while Georgia falls to 87-74.
