New York right-hander Nobuhito Suzuki helped his team edge Omaha by the score of 2-1. Suzuki kept the opposing lineup in check. Omaha's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Runs were scarce in this one. So, Kyushichi Maruyama's at-bat in the top of the 14th was vitally important. With one out, the New York third baseman hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 2-1 lead.
