Walk-Off Seals 111st Victory for Republic
The So Cal Republic trumped the South Carolina Bombers, 5-4, at House of the Republic. So Cal designated hitter Jon Pittman was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. So Cal reliever Christian Wallace got the win, raising his record to 7-2. Albert Giles was tagged with the loss. The Republic, at 111-48, have a comfortable 21-game lead in their division.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Pittman. Facing Aaron Taylor with runners on 1st and 2nd, the So Cal designated hitter had a run-scoring single. Game over, walk-off style!

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," South Carolina manager Randy Huggett said following the tough loss.
