Jacks Fall to .500 After Loss to Jesters
|
With second baseman Alan Bishop leading the charge, the Jersey Jesters defeated the Jacksonville Jacks, 7-3, at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. Bishop, who is tied for 10th in the TML in RBI with 100, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. At 75-82, the Jesters find themselves in 6th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
Had Edgardo Gómez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Gómez hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Jesters.
"Enjoyed this one," Bishop told the Jersey Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
