Ruíz Shines in Codebreakers Win
The Columbus Codebreakers downed the New York Mafia, 11-4, at Central Park Downtown Stadium. The Codebreakers were led by Esteban Ruíz, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 4. New York now has a 5-game losing streak.

Ruíz came through with some timely hitting for Columbus. With the score 1-1 in the bottom of the third and two down, Ruíz hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 42nd home run of the season made it 3-1, Columbus.

"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Roberto Campos. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
