The Mile High Mustangs got a stellar performance from pitcher Drstasara Sahni, who handcuffed the Kansas City offense en route to a 4-2 win at McNichols Stadium. The winning pitcher was Sahni, now 15-10. He tossed 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. The Mustangs, at 66-91, sit in last place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division.

Mile High right fielder Ted Burbidge helped the Mustangs go up, 2-0, in the bottom of the fourth inning. With the game tied, Burbidge hit a 2-run home run off Kansas City pitcher Enrique López.
