Despite a fine performance by third baseman Adam Kerr, the San Francisco Earthquakes suffered a 10-8 loss to the Maple Marauders. Kerr went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Yasuhiko Ito got the win, improving to 12-3. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 8 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. Adrien Clément recorded his 38th save for Maple.

Dustin McMahon contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Maple get the win.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said McMahon, "but we got it done."

The Marauders are now 96-60, while the Earthquakes fall to 93-64.
