Sánchez Sensational for Toreros
|
Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park was the site of a competitive game between the Bloomington Blazers and Cabo San Lucas Toreros.
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros picked up a win at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park, knocking off the Bloomington Blazers, 4-2. Starting pitcher Luis Sánchez, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Mulia Kathirithamby sewed up the save, his 33rd.
Sánchez's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 8 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 4 hits. Sánchez, who is tied for 8th in the TML with a 8.4 K/9 rate, goes to 11-8 on the year with 194 strikeouts.
"Luis was throwing free and easy," said Cabo San Lucas manager José Núńez.
The losses continue to mount for Bloomington, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
