Brooklyn left-hander Wilson Deleón helped his team edge New York by the score of 3-2. Deleón kept the opposing lineup in check. Brooklyn reliever Tokaji Goto picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-9. Kunihiko Mizuno was collared with the loss. Brooklyn, at 86-70, sits in second place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division.

Nobuhisa Ito was the walk-off hero for Brooklyn. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Brooklyn second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
