Armada Fall Short at Georgia
|
The Georgia Grays picked up a win at The Death Star, knocking off the Quebec Armada, 4-3. Starting pitcher Wade White was an essential part of his team's success. White went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 13-12. The Grays move to 84-70 with the win, while the Armada drop to 72-82.
António Rojas drove in one run for Georgia. The 13-year veteran had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Matsuyo Sanu. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Georgia manager Davey Morris.
