In a low-scoring affair between the Jacksonville Jacks and the Bloomington Blazers, pitcher Hui Pan was the difference between victory and defeat. The Jacksonville left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 Jacks win. The win was Ed Armstrong's in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Austin Price took the loss for Bloomington. The win puts the Jacks at 34-33, while the Blazers drop to 24-42.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Pan hit a cutter from Austin Price for a run-scoring single. The Jacks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Pan.
