Sasquatch Win in Glorious Fashion
The inspired effort of Omaha first baseman Paul Rice was not enough to prevent a 7-5 loss to the Seattle Sasquatch. Rice went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Seattle reliever Dan Lewis picked up the win, bumping his record to 11-11. Norogumi Matsumoto was collared with the loss. Omaha has now lost 4 in a row.

Ruberto Sucena said the idea of hitting a home run crossed his mind when he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth. Sucena belted a 2-run home run to stake Seattle to a 7-5 lead. His 25th home run of the season came off Omaha pitcher Norogumi Matsumoto.

"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Sucena said in his postgame press conference.
