The Las Vegas Gamblers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Jason Davis, who kept Columbus hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Gamblers win at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . Davis got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Davis allowed 1 earned run. Earning his 34th save for Las Vegas was Bernalldo Rocchi.
Also making an impact was left fielder Dave Moore, who drilled a double in the bottom of the fourth inning for the Gamblers. For the game, Moore went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Las Vegas manager Jesús Alfaro.
The second-place Gamblers now have a win-loss record of 85-66.
