Tornadoes Prevail, 7-5, Over Maple
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Andrew Weber, the Kansas City Tornadoes defeated the Maple Marauders, 7-5. Weber went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Tornadoes. Kansas City is now 79-83, Maple 98-64.
One important at-bat for Kansas City came with one out in the top of the fifth inning. With a runner on 1st, Weber hit a 2-run home run, which contributed to the Tornadoes win.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Weber. "Everyone's feeling pretty positive after that win."
