Late Rally Gets Win for Hops
|
The Omaha Titans got a superb performance from pitcher Mauro Durango. Still, it wasn't enough to beat San Diego. The Hops won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Durango was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings allowing 1 run. Son Mai earned his 17th save in 21 chances. San Diego, at 53-96, sits in last place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the ninth, Christian Chevalier drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Hops took the lead, 4-3.
"We're feeling pretty good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Chevalier told the San Diego Daily.
