Earthquakes Win at Mile High, 4-2
|
San Francisco Earthquakes starter Jin-woo Pi was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Mile High Mustangs, 4-2. San Francisco currently is in second place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 87-61.
Adam Kerr went 1 for 5, while adding 2 RBI for San Francisco. With one out and the game tied in the top of the seventh, Kerr had a clutch at-bat. Facing Mile High hurler Akinori Samurakami, he hit a 2-run single to give the Earthquakes a 4-2 lead.
"I like to lead by example," said Kerr. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
