In a low-scoring game between the Omaha Titans and the Brooklyn Black Knights, pitcher Robert Cook was masterful on the mound. The Omaha right-hander was named the player of the game in Omaha's 2-1 win. Reliever Keith Martin picked up the win. His record improves to 5-4. Rob Young took the loss. With the win, the Titans have a record of 49-96.
Mike Phelps came through for Omaha when he hit a walk-off run-scoring double in the bottom of the 12th. With the bases loaded, he hit a full count sinker to center field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
"Nothing's come easy this year for us," said Phelps. "Just glad we took this one."
