Grays Suffer 3-2 Loss to Patriots
|
The bats were silent much of the day at The Death Star. But Bagaskoro Pakpahan conjured up just enough offense to carry the Patriots past the Georgia Grays, 3-2. Pakpahan went 3-4 with 2 home runs. Luciano Carreiras picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 6-0. Manhattan Beach, at 76-68, sits in 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division.
Ed Greer struck a blow for the Patriots in the top of the sixth when he hit a solo home run. It put his team ahead, 2-1. For the game, Greer went 1-4 with a home run.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Georgia skipper Davey Morris.
